Key Stage 4

In GCSE Film the pupils are beginning to analyse their key texts (District 9 and Attack the Block) to explore how directors use different techniques to create meaning for an audience. The pupils are also developing their own scripts and shot lists which will help them develop their own 2 minute film clip.

Key Stage 5

AS Film Studies- The pupils are currently putting the finishing touches to their own film sequences and investigated independent US cinema (Winters Bone).

A Level- After completing their annotated catalogue (analysis of film literature) and their final 5 minute film extract, the pupils will be preparing for their final exams on American independent and Mexican cinema.

Level 3 Media- The pupils are continuing to build their own multimedia portfolio completing a number of different units, creating print, audio, audio visual and web design products.
